Donors –private and corporate – are invited to contribute to the Endowment Fund to enable SHEILA to provide consistent and long-term funding to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution of women to Australia’s art history and promote equality of opportunity for women artists today and in the future.

The goal for the Endowment Fund is $2 million. The Cruthers Family has given $600,000 to date.

If there is a particular Project you wish to support- from the Into the Light history project to acquisitions to providing scholarships- your donation can be directed to that purpose.

SHEILA invites those who share our passion and our vision to contribute now as Founding Donors. Founding Donor packages can be tailored to meet donor needs and staged over a number of years.

Into the Light Circle

HELP SHINE A LIGHT

This Into the Light Giving Circle brings together a group of people willing to pledge $2,000 per year for three years to enable the Sheila Foundation to fund research that rediscovers women artists in each Australian state and territory before time makes it more difficult to do so, and to support the unique and beautiful Cruthers Collection. The art and contributions of many women artists have not been well-recognised, even though they have made significant contributions to our art history. Bringing these women back ‘into the light’ will give us a more complete and varied view of Australian history, culture and attitudes. The data from the project will be available online to specialists and the public to help transform our understanding of Australia’s art history.

As a member of the Into the Light Giving Circle you will receive invitations to Cruthers Collection exhibition openings, have opportunities to attend special Sheila events which give an insight into our art history and the Collection, and receive information about Sheila’s projects.

Champions Circle

SUPPORT CONTEMPORARY WOMEN ARTISTS

Join the Sheila Foundation Champions Giving Circle to support contemporary Australian women artists.

This Champions Giving Circle brings together a group of people willing to pledge $1,000 per year for three years to enable Sheila Foundation to support and celebrate contemporary women artists through acquiring the work of emerging artists, lectures and publications, and by sponsoring the influential The CoUNTess Report, a regular count of gender equality in Australian contemporary art. This provides data to argue for reforms that ensure today’s women artists have equal opportunities to fulfill their talent and potential.

As a member of the Champions Giving Circle you will receive invitations to Cruthers Collection exhibition openings, have opportunities to attend special Sheila events which give an insight into Australia’s art history and the Collection, and receive information about Sheila’s projects.
